Surf’s up with Zanzibar Production

Sportswear and event clothing Zanzibar Production has invested in an HP Stitch S500 textile printer in an effort to enhance flexibility and productivity.

The French company took on the new printer to primarily print on polyester and large-volume production, though the device is also capable of printing both on transfer paper and direct-to-fabric.

Zanzibar is best known for printing on all types of textile media; ranging from surf Lycra and t-shirts, to sweatshirts and flags, for customers including Cirque du Soleil, Semaine du Golf and Derby des Pyrénées.

“I was looking for a machine that is really versatile to ensure greater flexibility and productivity; I wanted to move on from a traditional way of working to a semi-industrial scale,” owner Antoine Maury says.

The HP Stitch S500 offers colour uniformity across the entire machine fleet thanks to the HP Smart Color solution. The 64” machine also features a two symmetrical CMYK printhead configuration and a lens support advance sensor.
