ISA-UK suspends membership renewals

During the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, ISA-UK, powered by BSGA, has frozen all membership renewals due from March 1st to May 31st, 2020.

Previously the British Sign and Graphics Association, ISA-UK was born out of a link with the International Sign Association (ISA) in America.

All members that were due to renew their annual membership during this time period have been told that they will not have to renew until June – meaning they are now receiving three months for free. No payment is expected until the end of June, and those with monthly standing orders can suspend their payments in the same period without losing membership benefits, providing further relief for sign-makers during this time.

“We know how tough things are for industry so wanted to do something practical to help our members,” says David Catanach, ISA-UK director. “Whilst we are confident in the value ISA-UK membership offers, we recognise that paying for membership fees may be difficult for business owners who may be struggling in these unprecedented times.”

By temporarily freezing renewals – effectively providing up to three months’ membership for free – we hope to take the pressure off just a little bit

He continues: “By temporarily freezing renewals – effectively providing up to three months’ membership for free – we hope to take the pressure off just a little bit. In March, we selected the date of June 1st for renewals to fall in line with the government’s then prediction of when life may return to some degree of normality. Obviously, we will continue to monitor the situation and may review this date if appropriate.”

ISA-UK are also working to provide members with daily updates, providing links to the relevant information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Catanach concludes: “We hope that this renewal freeze will help just a small bit and demonstrate our commitment to supporting our members during this challenging period.”
