Captain Moore set out to raise £1,000 by walking 100 laps of his garden with the aid of his walking frame, before his 100th birthday at the end of April.
The veteran joined the 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington’s Regiment at the start of the Second World War. Captain Moore’s motto that “tomorrow will be a good day” was featured on the display.
Donated by Landsec, which owns the Piccadilly Lights, the tribute appeared for 30-minutes on Saturday 18th April and will re-appear every hour for 40-seconds every day this week on the 146ft screen.

Ocean and Landsec are also planning further celebrations on the Piccadilly Lights which can be seen on Captain Moore’s 100th birthday on April 30th and VE Day on May 8th.
Describing the veteran as a “beacon of joy”, Landsec commercial media manager Derek Manns adds: “What a journey. We are delighted to be able to share his achievement in support of NHS Charities on the Piccadilly Lights.”
