The company looked to Canon’s partner ADAPT (Amari Digital Printing Technologies) to update its current print systems to increase both productivity and service quality.
Andy Roberts, general manager of Protect Safety Signs, says: “We are extremely happy with the installation of the two Colorado 1640s. Before working with Canon, we had never been able to reliably print and rewind a whole 50m roll of printed media. But, the Colorado 1640 has transformed our print capabilities and we can now print much faster – 114m² per minute – without the level of quality being compromised.”
The printer also uses UVgel print technology known to increase efficiency and speed while using less ink, making the process more cost effective. According to Canon, with its previous products this was only achievable using multiple roll-to-roll engines or a larger flatbed print engine.
