A match made in heaven

Tripleplay has been acquired by Uniguest as part of a wider strategic plan to create “the world’s largest IPTV, digital signage, and room booking solutions provider”.

Following the successful acquisition of ONELAN in 2018, Uniguest identified a shared common customer-centric approach and similar company cultures in Tripleplay and this led the decision to acquire the firm.

Jeff Hiscox, chief executive officer of Uniguest, explains: “We reviewed a number of providers who could offer complementary solutions which aligned with our core strategy to deliver digital engagement to the industries we operate in.

“Tripleplay was by far the best solution in the market and fit this profile perfectly; we’re delighted to bring them under the Uniguest umbrella. By pairing Tripleplay with ONELAN, we are creating a powerhouse for the audio-visual industry and are excited to start this journey.”

This acquisition is a game changer for Tripleplay and will bring significant advantages to our values, customers and partners

The newly formed Tripleplay and ONELAN Group will be led by Steve Rickless, chief executive officer of Tripleplay, with the support of Tripleplay and ONELAN executive teams.

Rickless comments: “This acquisition is a game changer for Tripleplay and will bring significant advantages to our values, customers and partners. Our market-leading solutions combined with the ONELAN product set will be one of the most powerful combinations available in today’s market, and the partnership will allow us to deliver innovation and enhanced service.

“Backed by the strength of Uniguest, this gives us the opportunity to deliver our aggressive strategy for the business.”
