Sygnet Group wins big at business awards

Leicester-based Sygnet Group, formerly Sygnet Signs, has scooped another industry award.

The firm, which has been trading for 45 years, celebrated another achievement at the East Midlands Chamber’s Business Awards, where Sygnet was awarded Manufacturer of the Year.

Gary Iley, Sygnet Group’s managing director, comments on the win: “The company is going from strength to strength at the moment and winning an award like Manufacturer of the Year will help us reach even more customers.”

Iley was accompanied by sales manager Tom Cantle and social media and marketing manager, Mark Atkinson at the awards ceremony, held at the Athena Centre in Leicester on September 20th.

Iley himself is no stranger to a business accolade, as he won Entrepreneur of the Year at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards back in April of this year. He is also managing director of web-based lighting business, LED Monkey.

Sygnet Group specialises in the production of built-up letters, flat-cut letters, illuminated signage, totems and monoliths, and sign trays. Employing around 45 staff from its site in Leicester, Sygnet Group now turns over £3m to £3.5m a year supplying signs to the trade.
