Print Show exhibitors set for free PVC recycling

Companies exhibiting at The Print Show 2019 will be able to recycle their waste PVC banner graphics, prints or stand construction for free, thanks to a generous offer from Soyang Europe and Blue Castle Group.

Soyang Europe, a manufacturer and distributor of printable material, and waste management specialist Blue Castle will be using next week’s show to promote their new PVC joint recycling scheme.

As part of the launch, exhibitors with any PVC waste both during and after The Print Show will be able to recycle this free of charge with Soyang Europe and Blue Castle Group.

“Uptake of the scheme has been extremely positive since its launch,” Soyang Europe’s managing director, Mark Mashiter, says, adding: “The Print Show is an ideal opportunity to introduce it to a wider audience and for visitors to discuss its merits face to face with members of our and Blue Castle’s team.”

Marie Harley, chief executive of Blue Castle, whose waste and energy consultancy has tested the machinery and processes needed to convert PVC banner into a reusable format, adds: “Due to the complexity of the challenge, it’s been several years in the making but close collaboration with our partner companies has enabled us to bring it to life.

We’re thoroughly looking forward to engaging further with printers at the exhibition

“We’re thoroughly looking forward to engaging further with printers at the exhibition.”

Chris Davies, event director for The Print Show, also speaks highly of the new scheme and how it will benefit exhibitors: “I’m very proud to support and showcase this exciting development and as the exhibition organiser, we will be inviting all exhibitors to utilise the recycling area, having any PVC waste generated at the show recycled.

“I encourage everyone attending the event that has PVC waste to speak with the Soyang Europe and Blue Castle teams at the show.”

For visitors and exhibitors keen to find out more about the new scheme, The Print Show will be hosting a special panel discussion on the initiative at 3:30pm on September 18th at the Business Seminar Theatre.
