New signage hits gyms across the UK

For some, staying healthy and exercising is an enjoyable and rewarding activity, however for others, going to the gym can be both a boring and daunting feat.

Despite the wide and varied range of people who visit the gym, digital signage can be used to target all audiences.

This form of digital marketing can be used to entertain and engage those who are finding running on the treadmill a chore, as well as targeting the other percentage of engaged and interested gym-goers with helpful information and relevant content.

A new digital signage solution by Zoom Media is being installed in gyms and health centres across the UK in a bid to engage gym members in a new way – through ceiling-mounted digital screens.

A provider of health and fitness digital media, Zoom Media’s portfolio includes brands such as GymTV and SalonTV.

The launch of the ‘digital 6’ screens follows news that UK brands spent approximately £13.5bn on digital adverts last year – 15% more than in 2017

James Collins, head of marketing at The Gym Group says that the new digital screens have become a successful sales and communication tool with its members, as well as being an effective advertising platform for brands.

Collins adds: “We highly anticipate the rollout of the network across our estate and look forward to reaping the benefits of Zoom’s innovative advertising solutions.”
