Ocean secures second long-term contract

Out-of-home (OOH) firm Ocean has won its second major UK contract this year, having been awarded long term agreements with City Property (Glasgow) Investments.

The contract comes four months after the company signed an agreement with Southampton City Council in January.

For its work for City Property (Glasgow) Investments, Ocean will work in partnership with Glasgow City Council to redevelop and introduce new roadside and city centre digital advertising screens.

Ocean will begin by redeveloping existing roadside locations with enhanced screens, with the potential of redevelopment in more than 20 locations in future phases.

Our digital cities for digital citizens proposition is about creating the very best platforms for advertisers and modern urban audiences

“Ocean’s success in the Glasgow bid is key to our ongoing organic growth and development plan,” explains Marc Keenan, managing director of Ocean Scotland. “Our digital cities for digital citizens proposition is about creating the very best platforms for advertisers and modern urban audiences.”

At the centre of Scotland’s largest urban economy, Glasgow is described by Ocean as “one of the fastest growing cities in the UK” due to a number of high-profile recent investments – many of which the OOH firm says to be from the financial services sector.

“This best in class approach to DOOH will now be rolled out across Glasgow City Council’s existing portfolio and through our new responsive screens, further boosting the local economy and giving advertisers the chance to reach audiences in one of the fastest growing UK cities,” Keenan adds.
