FESPA cancels China edition

Following the recent launch of the China show in January 2019, FESPA has made the decision to cancel this year’s event.

Despite increasing demand for the show, FESPA has decided to cancel the event as a result of “challenges arising” with the event and co-located event, which FESPA was “unable to resolve to its satisfaction.”

In a statement, organisers say: “FESPA remains committed to serving the community of speciality printers and manufacturers in China and across Asia and will return to the region with Asia Print Expo in 2021, dates and location to be announced nearer the time. This follows the success of the recent 2019 edition of Asia Print Expo in Bangkok.”

FESPA has said there is a possibility that the event may return to the Chinese mainland, but plans are currently under review. The organisation will continue to work with Asian member associations to deliver knowledge-sharing and networking initiatives for the region’s print companies.

FESPA China was set to take place in Guangzhou, from November 8th until 10th, 2019.

Founded in 1962, FESPA is a global federation of associations for the screen printing, digital printing and textile printing sectors.

The Global Print Expo is still set to take place at Messe München in Munich, Germany, alongside the European Sign Expo, from May 14th until 17th, 2019.
