Five years of steady growth

Over the past five years, significant investments in equipment, facilities and training has resulted in a period of growth and strengthening of business for UK trade supplier, William Smith Group 1832.

During this period of growth, the company has invested in a brand-new education facility, The Training Academy, and various hi-tech equipment.

The Training Academy offers ten courses, ranging from film application and wrap training to sales. Using the firm’s industry experience, the academy aims to train and encourage businesses to enter new markets, upskill workforces and identify growth opportunities.

In a bid to improve efficiency, reduce lead times and provide higher quality products, the company has invested in advanced manufacturing equipment including a channel letter bender, powder coat facility and a pre-wash station.

Thanks to the investments we’ve made, we’ve been able to continue to develop as demand has increased

As a result of recent success and increasing demand for its products, the William Smith Group 1832 has moved its fabrication team into a new factory, double the size of the previous facility. Ten new staff members have also been recruited to keep up with the business growth.

Commenting on the period of growth, Chris Bradley, head of marketing at the William Smith Group 1832 says: “It’s been a very busy period for the business but the growth we’ve experienced, in these uncertain times, has been great and thanks to the investments we’ve made, we’ve been able to continue to develop as demand has increased.”
