Eurolaser to exhibit at JEC 2019

Lüneburg-based Eurolaser, a company which provides CO2 laser systems for composite materials is set to exhibit its latest systems at this year’s JEC World 2019.

The worldwide show provides professionals to meet with the worldwide composite industry.

The ISO 9001 certified firm manufactures modular CO2 laser systems up to 3.2m in width and length, for cutting various materials including composites materials.

At JEC World, Eurolaser will exhibit its L-1200 and M-800 laser cutting systems with “efficiency-enhancing additional components.” The L-1200 conveyer laser system is configured for cutting textiles and ensures automatic and accurate material feed directly from the roll. The M-800 is equipped with an automatic shuttle table system and allows parallel loading, processing and removal of workpieces.

In hall 5A on stand T41, the laser cutting specialist will demonstrate live on-site cutting of glass fiber fabric and an organic carbon sheet material.

In contrast, contactless laser cutting is flexible, clean, fast and cost effective, as there will be no costs for new tools

Discussing the benefits of laser cutting, Eurolaser says: “Traditional mechanical methods, such as knife cutting or punching are dust-intensive and cost-intensive. Besides, there is significant tool wear so that the tools need to be changed. Cutting edges often fray and need to be reprocessed in further working steps. In addition, the contour of the punching tool is not flexibly changeable.

“In contrast, contactless laser cutting is flexible, clean, fast and cost effective, as there will be no costs for new tools. It also allows distortion-free cutting and highest precision. Regardless of the fabric structure, processing in all directions is possible. Due to reduced dust generation during the cutting process, cleaning effort is significantly reduced.”

JEC World 2019 will take place from March 12th – 14th in Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre, France.
