Fujifilm unveils new flatbed Acuity LED 40 series

Fujifilm has launched its new Acuity LED 40 series of flatbed printers, marking the first time that the digital print giant has made LED-curing printers available in its Acuity flatbed range.

Designed with both growing mid-volume print service providers and existing Acuity users in mind, the series provides production capacity of up to 15,000sq m per year, at speeds of up to 53sq m/hr.

The standard model allows users to print on media or objects measuring up to 1.25 x 2.5m, while the X2 double bed size option can handle materials as large as 2.5 x 3.08m.

Mike Battersby, marketing manager for Fujifilm Graphic Systems, comments: “We are delighted now to be bringing the benefits of LED curing technology to our flatbed range.

“The Acuity LED 40 delivers all of this by combining the versatility and reliability of our existing Acuity flatbed range with the LED-curing capability already enjoyed by so many users of Fujifilm's Acuity roll-fed machines.”

We look forward to talking to new and existing customers about the benefits this series could provide to their businesses

Other features in the series include Uvijet KL, a new LED ink that is available with four, six or eight colour channels. Users also have the option to add light inks and varnish, as well as upgrade to Fujifilm's brightest white UV ink.

As a further benefit, all of Fujifilm's Uvijet inks are Greenguard Gold certified, meaning prints using these inks can be used safely in schools, hospitals or retail environments.

Battersby adds: “We look forward to talking to new and existing customers about the benefits this series could provide to their businesses.”
