In recognition of the project, the firm was invited to the BSGA (now ISA-UK) awards where it was shortlisted for Retail Sector Sign of the Year and won the Leisure Sector Sign of the Year.
This particular award was presented to Sovereign Signs for the work it carried out at the Leicester City Foxes Fanstore in June 2018. The project included a large amount of signage manufactured and installed within a short time frame.
The project - which also landed a highly commended spot for Retail Sector Sign of the Year 2018, and a finalist position for Sign of the Year 2018 - involved full store fit out signage including entrance architectural gantry, structural signage works, illuminated built-up, stainless-steel lettering, ceiling mounted logos, and digitally printed wall coverings.

Commenting on the HTAE awards, Iain McKenzie, Sovereign Signs’ managing director, says: “I was delighted to not only judge the nominations but become a main sponsor of the event and present an award to Nick Bettner,” comments Gutmanis. “I was especially proud of Sovereign Signs’ very own Didzis Gutmanis winning the Signage Apprentice of the Year, it truly was a moment to remember.”
