Signs tackle extreme weather conditions

Surrey-based signage and digital printing firm, Stocksigns, provides a range of signage solutions for the upcoming winter months to tackle extreme weather conditions.

With weather set to plummet, the risk of slips, trips, and falls increases. Stocksigns provides a wide range of affordable ice and snow signs.

A popular product sold by Stocksigns is a range of temperature reactive ice warning signs, named Ice Guardian. The signs which have been manufactured and trademarked by Lancashire-based road sign manufacturer, Limelight Signs, are available in two models; an LED model with flashing blue lights in icy conditions, and a reflector model which turns from grey to blue to warn of possible icy surfaces.

On a larger scale, Messagemaker Displays, a subdivision of Stocksigns, has developed a full colour fixed variable message sign, which displays the latest traffic information to motorists on roads and motorways in real-time.

Such signage can warn road users of occurrences such as road closures, queues ahead and upcoming events in the area.

This can be a lifesaving tool for those working outdoors, anyone using a car park, and even those simply walking along footpaths

Managing director of Stocksigns, Danny Adamson, says: “As a leading provider of safety signage to the industry, it is in our best interest to keep members of the public safe in the coming weeks and months when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

“It is vital for warning signs to be eye-catching, so it is no surprise that Limelight Sign's temperature reactive sign has been very popular. Both the LED and reflector models are effective ways to indicate freezing temperatures and encourage more precautions to be taken by the individuals in close proximity.

“This can be a lifesaving tool for those working outdoors, anyone using a car park, and even those simply walking along footpaths.”
