New Zund G3 for BCS Group

Midlands-based supplier of safety and construction products and services, BCS Group, has installed a Zund G3 precision cutting machine at its 10,000 sq ft facility in Walsall.

The cutting machine, supplied through Canon UK, in conjunction with a Canon Oce Arizona 1260 XT printer, enables the firm to produce enhanced commercial and health and safety signs, including building site safety signs, hazard warning signs, fire exit signs, mandatory signs, and prohibition signs.

Designed for maximum automation, the G3 is ideal for boosting production by clearing bottlenecks caused by faster printing technology. All Zund digital cutting machines have a modular construction to allow users to choose the exact configuration to meet their initial needs and adapts the machine as those requirements change.

Situated in the north of London, Zund’s sales and service centre offers a full pre- and after-sales service and a demonstration suite complete with a range of new G3 cutters, cutting table options, and finishing solutions.

Since installation, we have been using the Zund G3 primarily to cut a variety of plastic substrates, and for the routing of Dibond panels. The Zund cutter is incredibly efficient and uses less energy than our previous routing solution

Kirstie Fish, head of the signs and supplies division at BCS, comments: “Since installation, we have been using the Zund G3 primarily to cut a variety of plastic substrates, and for the routing of Dibond panels. The Zund cutter is incredibly efficient and uses less energy than our previous routing solution.

“We chose the Zund machine following a recommendation from one of our supply chain partners who also rely on the technology. They were extremely happy with the G3’s performance and reliability and assured us it would fully meet our needs.”
