Applelec celebrates 20 years in business

Bradford-based signage, display and lighting manufacturer Applelec is celebrating 20 years of successful trading.

Starting off as a metal fabricator, the firm has since widened its trade to combine work as a bespoke manufacturer of signage, display, and LED solutions.

As well as being a lighting manufacturer, Applelec supplies LED systems and is the sole UK distributor for SloanLED.
Following its growth, the signage manufacturer relocated in 2016 to bigger premises to the 6.3-acre Wharfedale Business Park in Bradford, allowing the firm to complete all manufacturing output in-house.

The increase in space has also allowed Applelec to invest in a range of new equipment such as a new dual-purpose powder and wet spray plant, an AXYZ CNC router, a large-format press brake machine, and a dedicated manufacturing area for its new NeonLux LED product.

We are all so proud of what the company has achieved since 1998 and we will continue focusing on what we do best - high quality products and manufacturing with 100% attention on customer service

Commenting on the 20-year milestone, Ian Drinkwater, Applelec’s managing director, says: “We are all so proud of what the company has achieved since 1998 and we will continue focusing on what we do best - high quality products and manufacturing with 100% attention on customer service.

“With clients at the forefront of everything we do, we have increased Applelec’s team to now almost 100-strong, consisting of CAD designers, technical advisors, a design engineer, and field staff to better accommodate and support our customer’s needs.”
