KDX releases new films to the UK

Following the success of its metallics launch earlier in 2018, KDX Laminating has introduced frosted and textile laminating films to the UK.

The textile thermal films create a fabric-like finish, designed to create a luxurious feeling making it a popular choice for books, brochures, packaging and other printed materials. The frosted films provide a matte, sand textured surface and a good uniformity of colour designed to give print a tactile and elegant effect, while preserving the colour underneath.

Both films are designed to be laminated directly onto the printed board and then printed using offset UV and converted separately. The surfaces are also suitable for UV varnish, embossing and foil blocking for maximum impact.

Businesses can tailor each film design to their own specific needs, with bespoke sizes and colours available as well as sample rolls.

KDX is delighted to be expanding the range of finishes available as customers are telling us they are getting vital differentiation from their competitors who may only offer more traditional glass and matt finishes.”

KDX is a large pre-coated film manufacturer and a supplier of optical film, with the company owning several hundreds of patents in 3D. It has also established its position in polymer material manufacturing.

Michel Diruy, general manager of KDX Europe says: “These laminating films complement our popular metallic ranges and are a great way to really add distinction to print, luxury packaging, boxes, book covers, stationary, bags and POS. KDX is delighted to be expanding the range of finishes available as customers are telling us they are getting vital differentiation from their competitors who may only offer more traditional glass and matt finishes.”
