Meteor goes into orbit with growth plans

Meteor Inkjet has moved to expand its operations into a new location at Harston Mill near Cambridge, as it seeks to capitalise in a growth demand for its services.

The company specialises as an independent supplier of electronics and software to drive industrial inkjet printheads, and has noted an increase in export sales in recent years.

Over the past 24 months at Meteor, sales have more than doubled, with 98 percent exported to 20 countries around the world. This has led to Meteor expanding its team in China, Japan and the US.

Clive Ayling, managing director, comments: “We were getting very tight on office, lab and stockroom space at our previous location, and we lacked sufficient room to host an increasing number of customer visits.

“In many respects our expansion marks a new beginning as we move out of the premises where the company was founded by TTP Group 12 years ago into a space that we’ve designed to suit our specific requirements.”
