Hand-in-hand through print’s Park Life

With just one month to go until The Print Show 2018, organisers have revealed that this year’s event will feature a brand new area dedicated to highlighting the sustainability of print.

‘Park Life’ will bring the outside indoors, featuring a mini forest of trees and seating areas where visitors can gather to unwind after a busy few hours exploring the show floor.

The idea behind this new feature is to dispel the myths that print and paper are bad for the environment, instead showcasing how our industries can provide a sustainable solution to consumers.

This special area will also be located opposite the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) stand, where visitors can find out more about the latest environmental developments specific to print.

Chris Davies, event director of The Print Show, says: “It’s no secret that print and paper are often looked on as part of the problem, rather than the solution, when it come to protecting the environment.

“However, as those in the industry will know, both print and paper have come on leaps and bounds to the point where they can be seen as truly sustainable.

Park Life builds on this to the point where we will create an environment that will allow visitors and exhibitors to unwind, as well as a gathering point to allow exhibitors to hold meetings with potential customers

“Walking around the show, visitors can speak with many exhibitors that will be promoting the environmental benefits of their latest products and solutions.

“In addition, with the likes of the FSC, Two Sides and Print Power in attendance, there is the opportunity to learn more about the sustainability of print and paper.

“Park Life builds on this to the point where we will create an environment that will allow visitors and exhibitors to unwind, as well as a gathering point to allow exhibitors to hold meetings with potential customers.

“In addition, we are delighted to be holding our exhibitors drinks at Park Life on the second night of the show, and I look forward to catching up with many of our exhibitors.”
