Graphtec plots extensive growth with FCX4000

Graphtec GB has strengthened its range of flatbed cutting plotters with the launch of the new FCX4000, boasting many of the same advanced features found in the FCX2000 cutting plotter in a lighter and smaller model.

Developed mainly for the garment and accessories decoration sector, Graphtec says the new FCX4000 can also be used for other work such as traffic signage, sandblasting, packaging, point-of-purchase display and printed label/sticker applications.

Replacing the existing FC4500, the latest offering is available in two versions: the FCX4000-50ES and FCX4000-60ES, offering respective cutting areas of 660 x 488mm and 976 x 660mm. Both machines have a cutting force of 600gf and a top cutting speed of 750mm/s.

The FCX4000-50ES and FCX4000-60ES can also handle a wide range of media in various thicknesses

Both versions of the cutting plotter are also supplied with a range of accessories as standard, including a high-quality steel cutting blade, water-based fibre-tipped pen and a creasing/scoring tool that will enable jobs to be cut and creased from the reverse of the sheet being processed to avoid damage to the print.

The FCX4000-50ES and FCX4000-60ES can also handle a wide range of media in various thicknesses. These include self-adhesive fluorescent/reflective vinyl up to 0.2mm; heavy paper/board up to 0.5mm; compressed foamed sheet up to 0.8mm; cardboard up to 1.5mm; high-density reflective film up to 1.0mm; and sandblast resist rubber up to 1.0mm.

In addition, the new FCX4000 comes with Version 6.0 of Graphtec’s proprietary Advanced Registration Mark Sensing system that offers optimum plotting and cutting accuracy, according to Graphtec.
