AXYZ plumbs new profit well

In a major revelation that will cause ripples across the CNC manufacturing and supply sector, AXYZ International has acquired USA-based waterjet cutting specialist Wardjet.

A statement was released by AXYZ International president, Alf Zeuner, on the release of the news: “The synergy of the two companies and the complementary technologies now available will result in a huge increase in manufacturing, technological and manpower resources, with the latter adding close to 100 new employees to the AXYZ International team.”

Wardjet co-founder Richard Ward will remain in post as the company’s president and Zeuner will become overall president. Welcoming the acquisition, Richard Ward commented: “With immediate effect, we now have a much larger and global footprint in the waterjet cutting industry, not to mention the huge increase in manpower and marketing resources from which we will benefit as a result of the partnership now forged with AXYZ International.”

AXYZ International’s UK-based vice president of market development, Robert Marshall, also provided comment on the news: “Contingent upon the materials to be processed, waterjet cutting technology can provide a more appropriate solution to CNC routing and cutting technology.

“The availability of the two complementary technologies from a single manufacturing and supply source will greatly enhance the capabilities and global reach of both companies and lead to increased mutual growth, enhanced manufacturing capabilities and commensurate profitability.”

He concludes: “The plan to start promoting the waterjet cutting machines through our global network, including the primary European outlet in the UK, will be phased in gradually.”
