AP bends brand new profits

AP Signs & Print has paid tribute to its purchase of a Combo bending machine from Automatic Letter Bender (ALB), saying that the investment has given the company a “considerable advantage” over its competition.

The Weston-super-Mare company bought the machine after seeing it in action at Signlink Live last year, in order to enhance its 3D letter production offering.

The Combo features interchangeable heads, offering users two types of bending systems. The first of these is a roller-head that is suitable for all types of tapes and profile, while the second offers an alternate way of bending by patting of the tapes, including stainless steel and aluminium.

ALB says the Combo is a suitable solution for flat tapes with minimal bending radius set at 3mm.

Rob Burrows, managing director of AP Signs & Print, speaks openly about how the Combo has boosted production at the company: “The machine gives us a considerable advantage in terms of both time and quality over other methods of letter production.

“We appreciate that now we can produce 3D letters faster, saving time and cost. We can also show customers made-up samples very quickly for job approval.”

AP Signs & Print has been producing a variety of signs since 2003 and Burrows says that the machine from ALB fits in with its focus on only providing quality applications to customers.

Burrows says: “We take great pride in our work using only the best materials. We can control production based on requirements of any particular sign jobs that needs 3D letter production incorporated within the sign.”
