GMG gets digital with Proof Control 2.4

Colour management expert GMG has upgraded its Proof Control by revealing that the 2.4 version of its proof control software now supports the digital standard FOGRA PSD for process standard for digital production.

GMG Proof Control software can be used to import and verify control strips for print standards. Should the proof correspond to the target values, a label can be printed out as a seal of approval and attached to the proof for verification.

The latest version of Proof Control allows users to create print standards, save them as templates, and apply them to any output standards. Templates for ISO12647-7:2016 and FOGRA PSD 2016 are already pre-defined in the product.

We are meeting industry demands with the support of the digital standard FOGRA process stability and quality assurance are playing an increasingly important role in digital printing

Jens Bloeck, product manager at GMG, comments: "We are meeting industry demands with the support of the digital standard FOGRA process stability and quality assurance are playing an increasingly important role in digital printing.”

Proof Control 2.4 has been designed as a 64-bit application, which GMG says offers a “noticeably better performance”.
