Hybrid sets Mimaki focus for major SDUK presence

Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor of Mimaki kit in the UK and Ireland, has revealed plans to display its largest-ever range of technology at Sign and Digital UK 2018, as it seeks to inform the wider industry about the machinery.

Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from April 24th to 26th, Sign and Digital UK will once again play host to a number of leading manufacturers and brands from across the industry.

Building on its success at The Print Show in October last year, Hybrid Services will now use this momentum to harness further interest in Mimaki print kit by displaying a number of key models. This showcase will include the UCJV300 and UCJV150 LED UV printer/cutters that were handed their UK launch at The Print Show 2017.

John de la Roche, national sales manager at Hybrid Services, comments: “The new Mimaki UCJV Series brings revolutionary technology to the sign and graphics market, using the very latest LED UV cure inks and offering an unparalleled range of applications from the one machine, making them already very popular with sign makers, print providers and graphics houses.

“We’re looking forward to the response from visitors to Sign and Digital UK and for many, it’ll be the first machine they see on entering the halls.

“We’ll have plenty to talk about with sign-makers and graphics professionals. Solutions such as Mimaki’s orange solvent ink, Mimaki’s huge range of vinyl printing hardware and even our unique die-cutting technology make a real difference to users the world over, hence our focus on this significant area at the show.”

Also due to feature on the Hybrid Services stand is the JFX200 flatbed machine, as well as the UJV55-320 3.2m roll-to-roll model and a selection of smaller-format flatbeds from the UJF range.

De la Roche adds: “With this line-up, we’re confident visitors to Sign and Digital UK will be inspired by Mimaki’s broad range of applications, innovative technology and business opportunities and very much look forward to welcoming them to Hybrid’s stand.”

Aside from its technology-packed stand, Hybrid Services will this year run the Textile Printing Live Demo feature adjacent to its booth. Here, visitors can learn more about textile print and enjoy a showcase of applications; ranging from fashion, sportswear and apparel, through to retail, lightboxes, promotional products and flooring.

Brett Platt, textile product manager at Hybrid Services, says: “We’ll be inviting visitors to try their hand at creating printed textile products that they can personalise and take home.

“Getting up close for even just a few minutes can help those new to the technology appreciate the ease with which textiles can be decorated and attractive products added to their portfolio.”
