“Fierce” competition drives Canon showroom

Competition and customer demand are big players in the print industry, and many firms have to research and invest in new ideas and technology, in order to keep up with the rest of the playing field.

To support this, Canon have opened a production print showroom in Birmingham, and have aptly named it The Centre. The new facility will be a home for artwork and graphics produced by the range of printers and machines available from the company. The Centre holds the aim to offer help to customers who want to expand their businesses.

Demonstrations of around 14, or more, of Canon’s printers will take place, alongside a range of third-party finishing devices and 3D printers. Canon’s technology will include the image press C10000VP, which can print up to 100 pages per minute.

B2B marketing director at Canon UK, Adam Poole, says: “We’re delighted to be opening this new facility. At Canon, we are committed to working collaboratively with our customers, helping them to realise, understand and exploit the opportunities available in print.

Professional printers face fierce competition and customers have high demands. However, print is now more powerful than ever before and The Centre will help provide support and expertise

“The Centre will play a key part in our offering and enable us to demonstrate the possibilities and how best to evolve and grow their business.”

Canon will also offer networking events, training courses, and conferences with their partners.

Poole continues: “Professional printers face fierce competition and customers have high demands. However, print is now more powerful than ever before and The Centre will help provide support and expertise.

“We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers and partners to this fantastic venue.”
