Mimaki forecasts growth as FESPA strategy pays off

Having taking the approach of having two separate stands at FESPA 2017, Mimaki has reported that the scheme was a resounding success and was able to generate a significant level of interest in its solutions.

Highlights across the Mimaki booths in Hamburg included the Mimaki Tx300P-1800, which was awarded the ‘Best Textile Printer under 100sq m/h’ award at the event, as well as sister direct-to-textile printer the Tx300P-1800B. The manufacturer also picked up the ‘Best Object Printer’ honour for its new Mimaki UJF-MkII Series.

However, as Ronald van den Broek, general manager sales at Mimaki Europe, explains, it was the firm’s 3D print technology that perhaps created the most buzz over in Germany—namely the Mimaki 3DUJ.

“It is the world’s first truly full-colour modelling solution and supports up to 10 million different colours with the ability to achieve 84 percent of the FOGRA39L colour gamut with high definition printing,” van den Broek says, adding: “Based on Mimaki’s advanced UV inkjet technology, the 3DUJ-P offers high definition modelling with a maximum size of 500 x 500 x 300 mm.”

The increase in UK and Irish companies investing in Mimaki’s volume textile production solutions at the exhibition was extremely encouraging

Peter Mitchell, director of Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor of Mimaki in UK and Ireland, was also pleased about the response from visitors to the firm’s textile print technologies, commenting: “The increase in UK and Irish companies investing in Mimaki’s volume textile production solutions at the exhibition was extremely encouraging.

“It was our most successful edition to date, and the show continues to exceed our expectations every year. It is the perfect opportunity to get in touch with visitors from all over the world and to discuss what Mimaki can do to take their businesses to the next level.”
