Agfa sets up shop with StoreFront 4.0

Agfa Graphics has moved to strengthen its already-extensive range of software options by launching version 4.0 of its StoreFront cloud-based, web-to-print solution.

The latest edition of the product features responsive stores for optimal ease of use, as well as ‘save for quote’ functionality for price information and advanced packaging algorithms for cost-effective shipping.

Andy Grant, global head of software at Agfa, comments: “StoreFront’s responsive design minimises scrolling and zooming, and maximises the print buyer’s comfort. Even in the B2B market that StoreFront focuses on we’re seeing a marked increase in the number of visitors accessing private stores using a phone or tablet.

“A responsive store design is not only important for increasing the conversion rate, it has also become a go/no-go criteria for business customers.”

Other new amendments to the latest version of StoreFront include improved functionality on mobile phones, with the web-to-print fully optimised to be viewed on both smaller screens and large desktop monitors.

In addition, Grant picks up on StoreFront 4.0 can be easily integrated not only with Agfa Apogee Prepress v10 and Asanti v3 workflow software solutions, but “virtually any: print production tool.

Grant adds: “StoreFront 4.0 is designed to be versatile and relies on industry standard file formats like PDF and JDF. Because support for open standards and easy integration remain key for Agfa Graphics.”
