Kustomized reserves special praise for Roland DG

Derby-based Kustomized has paid tribute to Roland DG after using various kit from the manufacturer to expand its offering.

The company caters for both the print and engraving industries, specialising in bespoke and branded clothing prints, sportswear and personalised accessories, as well as engraved trophies and gift items. 

Having started out with a Roland DG Metaza MPX-80, the firm went on to invest in a Roland DG EGX-360 Desktop, allowing it produce engraved trophies and awards—something managing director Ash Mediratta says helped to boost productivity and profits.

“As the business developed and the number of orders we received grew on a weekly basis, we knew we needed to invest in a second machine,” Mediratta says.

He continues: “Larger in size, the EGX-360 allowed us to produce larger gift items, trophies and awards at high-speed to ensure we could service the large volume of orders. 

“In addition to this, the EGX-360 could engrave onto glass and crystal, which has additional helped us to stand out from the competition in the area and we found the business continued to grow at a rapid pace.”

Aside from engraving technology, Kustomized runs a Roland DG VersaCAMM VP-300 printer/cutter, as well as a Roland DG GX-24 Vinyl Cutter and, more recently, a Roland DG VersaUV LEF-20 desktop printer.

Speaking about the most recent investment, Ash says: “To make sure we were one step ahead of the competition, we knew we needed to offer something new and exciting and VersaUV technology was exactly what we needed to take our business to the next level.
