Mimaki expands textile options with new printer

Mimaki has strengthened its already-expansive range of textile print machines with the addition of the Tx300P-1800B (Belt).

The 1.8m-wide machine has been specifically designed for use in the textile and apparel industries, with a focus on cost-effective, short run printing.

The Tx300P-1800B, which can hit speeds of up to 50sq m/hr and achieve print resolutions of up to 1,440dpi, will be distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hybrid Services.

Stephen Woodall, national sales manager, textile and apparel at Hybrid, says: “This is a very exciting development for the textile and apparel printing industry, bringing speed, quality and flexibility to the market at a very accessible price.

“The Tx300P-1800B really does bring game-changing technical innovation in textile print within the reach of many more garment makers and manufacturers; the printer’s belt media transport system flattens the textile and makes it possible to print easily on textiles that stretch.”

Other features on the new machine include adjustable high head gap, which Mimaki says prevents head strikes and enables high quality printing on thick, woven or fabrics with ‘raised’ fibres, while the waveform control function allows each ink to be jetted—according to its own specific gravity and viscosity—for the precise placement of ink droplets onto the fabric.
