Ritrama takes on competition with Academy launch

Mirroring a trend that is sweeping the supply end of the sign and graphics industry, Ritrama has opened its new application and training centre, the Ritrama Graphics Academy (RGA).

The academy covers an area of 300sq m and has been developed as a research and development centre for product tests, and a visitor centre for customers to experience Ritrama’s self-adhesive film applications.

The news comes after a number of its competitors have completed similar centres, with an aim to improve their customer’s profitability and brand engagement.

The opening of RGA completes this year’s investment plans and marks a further important step towards future growth

“The opening of RGA completes this year’s investment plans and marks a further important step towards future growth,” says Ronald Rink, graphics and industrial division manager.

He continues: “We decided to build the Academy within the Basiano plant—with the aim to create a location that focuses on the quality and excellence of the self-adhesive products we sell into the market.

“Customers will choose the Ritrama brand in the knowledge that our products have been both laboratory tested and trialled in a prepared end-user environment.”

A highlight of the Academy is its Application Corner, which is dedicated to car wrapping using the RI-Wrap self-adhesive CAST range. The whole series of films is displayed in different textures, colours, and finishes.

Another important area of the academy gives customers the chance to test the latest Ritrama innovations on different surfaces, offering a range of panel types and the chance to road-test materials on tough substrates such as glass, and surfaces with rivets.
