EFI continues to build global arsenal

Further to the news that EFI had moved to further strengthen its textile print offering after completing the acquisition of integrated 3D design software supplier, Optitex, the firm has revealed more buy-outs are on the horizon in 2016.

Although financial details of the Optitex deal were not disclosed, EFI says that privately-held firm will be integrated into its Productivity Software business unit.

“Optitex technology, combined with EFI Reggiani digital printers will expand our textile ecosystem and help our customers set new standards for time-to-market, on-demand manufacturing, cost efficiency and automation in the textile industry,” says Gabriel Matsliach, senior vice-president and general manager for EFI Productivity Software.

Optitex claims its technology allows retailers, brands, and manufacturers to transform how they do business, improve time-to-market, gain in terms of both cost and efficiency, as well as enable new capabilities for their design, sales, and marketing activities.

Asaf Landau, chief executive of Optitex, adds: “EFI's global presence, holistic solution approach, strong professional services abilities, and growing portfolio of innovative textile industry-specific products, will be of great benefit to the leading companies we serve worldwide in the fashion, automotive, aerospace and technical textiles industries.”
