Signs Express make a difference

Signs Express has chosen the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) as its charity of the year, having already raised £140 from its ‘Big Cake Bake’ event.

With its headquarters in Norwich, Signs Express has partnered with the charity which is dedicated to providing a ‘world without barriers’ for deaf children and young people. Providing these people and their families with impartial information and guidance ensures they can make informed decisions about their futures.

“In the signage industry, the focus is always on communicating and we are proud to support such a great charity across our company that also shares a prime focus on effective communication,” says Craig Brown, managing director of the Signs Express Group.

We’re looking forward to lots of fundraising events throughout the year and combining our efforts to raise awareness of this great cause

He adds: “We’re looking forward to lots of fundraising events throughout the year and combining our efforts to raise awareness of this great cause.”

NDCS’s corporate partnerships executive, Matthew Coleman, explains why this fundraising is needed: “There are more than 45,000 deaf children in the UK who are often vulnerable to isolation, abuse, bullying, poor self-esteem and low levels of achievement.

“We are grateful to Signs Express for supporting us as 95% of our work to help deaf children is funded by the public and every cake baked, sweepstake entered and quiz organised makes a big difference!”

You can make a donation or volunteer your own company to support the NDCS by visiting the NDCS’s website or emailing matthew.coleman@ndcs.org.uk.
