Lighting up signs equals awards

Increasingly LED lighting is becoming an integral part of signage so the message is never lost, night or day

LED has created a small revolution in the last few years and one firm pushing the boundaries is Zeta Specialist Lighting based in Bicester near Oxford.

They have just been shortlisted for The Oxford Science Park Innovation Award in the 2016 Oxfordshire Business Awards with the results to be announced later in June. And it is not hard to see why when you look at their work, such as their solar signage kit that enabled Tara Signs to illuminate signage for two of The Hargreaves Group’s developments.

Research and development is key to the business which marked its 25th anniversary in 2014 with a £3.5m investment. Zeta built a new production facility in order to further expand its range of UK-manufactured LED and solar powered lighting solutions.

The recognition comes on the back of a very successful year which has seen us successfully enter a number of new markets, significantly increase our customer base and achieve a massive 224 per cent sales growth year on year

The company was selected to exhibit at Innovate UK 2015, where it showcased its SmartScape range of LED and solar street and area lighting solutions, and has been recognised as an innovative company twice, winning the Cherwell Innovation Award in 2013 and 2015, and has received five DTI SMART awards.

Adrian Dennis, managing director of Zeta Specialist Lighting, says: “We are delighted to make the shortlist of these prestigious awards. The recognition comes on the back of a very successful year which has seen us successfully enter a number of new markets, significantly increase our customer base and achieve a massive 224 per cent sales growth year on year.
