JCDecaux edges out Clear Channel in Telford

It all began with a bus shelter complete with adverts back in 1964 in France when Jean-Claude Decaux founded JCDecaux, the world’s largest outdoor advertising company. And now it has taken on two new sites in England with the shopping centres in Kingston upon Thames and Telford.

The Bentall Centre in Kingston will now have eight new digital six-sheets installed while in Telford Shopping Centre the public will be able to see 24 new digital six-sheets in the mall, featuring adverts for stores such as House of Fraser and Debenhams.

JCDecaux have edged out Clear Channel from Telford’s mall which is seeing an injection of £200m into an expansion programme that will see the centre become one of the largest shopping hot spots in the country.

The firm are particularly pleased to have landed the Bentall Centre as Kingston (as it is usually referred to) is a well healed town on the edge of London. It features The Apple Store and Bentalls Department store, part of the Fenwick Group, while the riverside suburb is one of the marketing IT giant CACI’s top 20 UK retail destinations.

Securing these premium malls strengthens our portfolio, which will now cover 25 of the top 40 malls in the UK as ranked by TWR.
