Print it, cut it, light it, and stick it


The Canon Océ Arizona 1200 series UV flatbed printers benefit from Océ VariaDot imaging technology to produce sharp text and lines. Print quality can be further enhanced for photographic and fine art applications by adding the optional light cyan and magenta inks. “We want to show PSPs how the ability to print onto virtually any type of material is an opportunity for them to be ambitious as they develop their business,” says Dominic Fahy of Canon UK.

Neschen and Art Systems will be turning their stand into a beach—complete with its own beach hut. “The stand will feature Neschen non PVC and non-woven media, Green Wall performance wallpapers, Neschen Window Grip for crystal clear and vivid window graphics, and the award winning Print n’ Walk which provides outstanding results on a broad range of interior floors,” says Art System’s division manager con-sumables, Paul Tarry.

Quality Print Services will be showcasing new Nazdar 130 Series inks on a Mimaki JV300 and also the new Nazdar 203 Series inks, which are designed as a colour-matched, plug-and-play alternative to Roland Eco Max 3 inks. An HP L26500 Latex printer will also be running on QPS’s super-sized stand, demonstrating the new Nazdar 285 Series, matched to HP 792 series OEM ink. QPS?will also be showcasing the Longier series of affordable wide-format printers.

Perspex Distribution will be demonstrating its cutting edge LED lighting solutions at Sign and Digital UK. Announcing the launch of PosterBOX 3 at the show, these new 1700 lumen SloanLED mod-ules address the need for an ultra-bright, even illumination in large, shallow, textile-faced light boxes up to a massive 3m wide. Furthermore, visitors will get the chance to see the first flexible LED light panel that can be curved by hand, increasing the applicaion scope of this system.

Blackman and White will demonstrate its latest image recognition software. This uses a new generation of camera technology with advanced distortion control to produce a high speed, accurate solution for sign and print cutting and registration.  Visitors will also be able to see new conveyor belt technology in use on a 1.6m Versa-Tech, which allows fast and easy control for switching between the laser and knife conveyor systems.

MTEX will be celebrating a year of outstanding growth and innovation by showcasing one of its five new models launched during 2015—the high speed version of its world leading MTEX 5032 printer. “The 5032HS offers the same stunning print quality as our world leading 5032Pro, but with sellable prod-uction speeds of 120sqm/hour it takes the printer to the next level,” says Stewart Bell, managing director of MTEX Technologies.

The 2.6m GoTx2600FX sold by Perfect Colours can use sublimation, reactive or pigment inks at speeds from 32 to 95sq m/h. The specialist wide-format print technology supplier says it opens up markets in soft signage, furnishings or garment production at a low total cost of ownership. This is achieved through innovations unique to the GoTx range such as its patented media transport and alignment systems.

AXZYRA will be launching its new range of innovative Apache multi-purpose flatbed printers that it explains have, ‘the flexibility to print not only flat vibrant colour graphics, but textures, small objects and even components’. “The innovative Apache range uses its unique UV cure resin ink technology, varnishes and primers to create very high quality results on almost any surface. There is nothing that within reason cannot be printed to,” says Steve Woods, managing director of Axzyra.
