‘The most versatile wide-format platform’ - Canon

2015 was a busy year for Canon, with the print giant’s expansion into 3D printing as it entered into a partnership with 3D Systems, as well as a number of key launches including two new imagePrograf printers, its Océ ImageStream, Océ VarioPrint i300, and the Océ ColorWave 810 and 910.

2016 is shaping up to be just as exciting for the business as it unveils the Océ Arizona 1200 series of UV flatbed printers.

The new series of printers, the Océ Arizona 1240, 1260, and 1280, are ideal for sectors such as sign and display and speciality print production. The models can use up to six colours, as well as white and varnish.

Using Canon’s award-winning Océ VariaDot imaging technology, the company states the models offer ‘the best ink economy in the market’, with an average 8ml used per sq m.

The result is an extremely high quality, robust and reliable machine and a testimony to the innovation and expertise behind Canon’s line of products within this sector

Pierre-Oliver Esteban, European TDS/DGS marketing director comments: “There is an enormous opportunity for mid-volume PSPs to continue growing their business – whether they are focused on graphical communication, packaging, industrial printing or retail.

“However, in order to remain competitive, they must be primed to deliver a range of high quality products, quickly and cost-effectively.”

Canon states that the design of the new series has been formulated to deliver ‘the most versatile platform in wide-format’, allowing users to print directly onto a range of difficult substrates including ceramic, glass, wood, and canvas, as well as warped and inflexible materials.

“The wide format market is growing and we are committed to helping our customers grow alongside it, every step of the way.”
