Mexico invades London rail network

Turning an ordinary train station into an exotic paradise, the Mexico Tourism Board and JCDecaux have put their creativity together in a move to further enhance tourism. The campaign, which has transformed St Pancras Immersion Zone, will last four weeks.

Vinyl wrap applied to the walls display scenery from around Mexico, while the walkway has been turned into a lake.
“The St Pancras Immersion Zone is perfect for this campaign. It creates a fun and immersive experience for passengers and brings a little bit of Mexico to the heart of London,” says Steven Dennison, head of creative solutions of JCDecaux UK.

In addition to this, thousands of model butterflies have enhanced the walls, which travellers can pull off and take with them.

Eduardo Regules, public relations executive coordinator at the Mexico Tourism Board, also weighed in on the news: “The Immersion Zone in this iconic station in London is part of an exciting campaign targeting the British public and tourists visiting London. The Live It To Believe It campaign showcases the diversity and richness of several destinations within Mexico and is part of the celebrations of 2015: The Year of Mexico in the UK”.
