Drytac combats fierce competition

In an effort to expand its product portfolio and tackle the onslaught of new products from its market competitors, self-adhesive materials specialist Drytac Europe has announced its Spot On film, first revealed at Sign and Digital UK, is now on sale.

“Spot On has been developed in direct response to our customers’ demands for a high quality printable vinyl that is easy to apply and remove. The layout of the adhesive virtually eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles in finished graphics and ensures that almost anyone can apply the finished graphics," says Steve Broad, sales director for Drytac Europe.

Suitable for short-term indoor graphics applications, Drytac describes Spot On as an ink receptive printable vinyl and notes that no special tools are needed to apply the vinyl. The film features a ‘dot pattern’ printed pressure sensitive polyacrylate adhesive, which allows the printable film to be applied bubble free on smooth interior surfaces such as walls, windows, and glass.

The clever technology underpinning Spot On is a dot pattern of pressure sensitive polyacrylate adhesive, which actually printed on during the manufacturing process. This means that air channels remain when bonded to flat surfaces and allow for 'bubble free' application.

Drytac's Broad further explains that Spot On can be repositioned and even reused if stored according to technical guidelines. He further claims that the, 'film leaves virtually no residue on the mounting substrate'. Available in clear matte, white matte and white gloss versions, Spot On is compatible for use with solvent, eco-solvent, latex, and UV inkjet printers.
