Mimaki going for gold with ink accreditation

Wide-format manufacturer Mimaki has announced its receipt of the prestigious Greenguard Gold Certification for its range of high-quality inks.

Greenguard Certified products must adhere to strict health and safety criteria, and must be safe to use in sensitive environments like medical facilities and schools, assuring customers that Mimaki’s print solutions are suitable for a range of conditions. All products that are awarded the certification are then subject to ongoing testing to ensure their impressive performance is consistent.

Mike Horsten, general marketing manager EMEA at Mimaki Europe, says: “In order to comply with the Greenguard requirements, a company needs to invest in extensive R&D efforts and ongoing commitment to develop the most technologically advanced, as well as the safest inks.”

The inks now certified by Greenguard Gold include the SS21, LX101, LH-100, LUS-150, and LUS-200.

Horsten adds: “This certification follows the achievement of OEKO-TEX skin contact accreditation and re-affirms our commitment to enabling customers to be proactive and creative in a wide range of different market sectors, without any concerns about the safety of the inks they are using.”
