Cardmasters targets growth with new investments

Creative cardboard engineering specialist Cardmasters has invested in a 2.4 x 1.2m Océ Arizona flatbed UV digital printer and matching DYSS X7-1624T digital cutter as part of an effort to boost business by 20 percent

Although the firm specialises in bespoke point-of-sale cardboard displays and card-engineered direct mail products, it has experienced an upturn in demand for runs as short as 10 items as well as higher volume, traditional print and die-cut products.

Managing director Peter Burrell says the investment in the Océ Arizona flatbed and DYSS X7-1624T—both of which were purchased in a part-exchange deal with AG/CAD—will help the firm address such demand.

“This will take us in to new areas and get us new customers,” Burrell says.

Hopefully we’re going to see 20 percent growth over the next year or so on the back of this investment

“We’ll be able to grow our business on the back of it.

“Hopefully we’re going to see 20 percent growth over the next year or so on the back of this investment.”

AG/CAD sales director Andrew Boulton adds: “It's great to see Cardmasters using the new DYSS X7 cutter in-line with the Océ Arizona printer in order to offer its customers even more products and services.”
