The business selected the high-speed hybrid UV-curable inkjet system from a shortlist of wide-format manufacturers, deciding before too long that the Anapurna was the obvious choice.

“We needed to increase the level of our UV direct to substrate output so we went to FESPA looking for a dual RTR and flatbed high quality printer,” managing director Richard Barrett explains. “We had three manufacturers in mind but it quickly came down to Agfa. Their whole approach was more professional.”

Projects and Print is on the hunt for larger premises and more staff as its expansion continues, with the new addition of the Anapurna M2500i sure to play a considerable part in the company’s growth.

Barrett continued: “Agfa were flexible regarding the finance package I required. I had experience at a previous company where the extended service agreement and warranty were not taken up and a replacement print head was required when the warranty had recently expired which cost them dearly.

“I therefore asked for the service and warranty to be built in for the duration of the contract agreement. Agfa’s support has been second to none and a great help to a company that is expanding such as mine.”

The six colour Anapurna M2500i has a printing width of 2.5m, highly accurate dot positioning, and a white ink function which could boost opportunities for printing on transparent material for backlit applications.
