Multitechnic praises overhaul of online operation

Multitechnic, a manufacturer of chemically etched signs for the sign trade, cited the success of its decision to completely rework its website as part of an effort to better communicate its services to both existing and potential customers.

Having realised the need to update its website following the addition of digital anoprinting to its service offering, Multitechnic last year installed the expertise of web design and development firm First4Websites to help with the online overhaul process.

As anoprinting was a new service, it required a lot of explaining online, which in turn meant more content and pages were added to the website. Despite being happy with the new content and the website working from on desktop, customers accessing the site via mobile devices were met with a host of issues and delays.

Perhaps more importantly, the website now works as well on mobile and tablet devices as it does on desktops

Although new-look website has been cut down from 30 pages to just six, it still offers customers the information they need to use the products on offer. Such products cannot be purchased online, but the website does allow customers to fully research these offerings before opting to purchase or not.

Perhaps more importantly, the website now works as well on mobile and tablet devices as it does on desktops. This means that customers can search for products whilst on the move and not have to wait until they can access a desktop computer—a delay that could lead to them opting for a rival company, which could in turn potentially cost Multitechnic business.
