BrightSign unveils major portfolio update

Digital signage media player specialist BrightSign has unveiled what it describes as the ‘most comprehensive’ portfolio update in the company’s history.

Due to be exhibited for the first time at ISE in February, the updated portfolio will be headlined by the next generation of BrightSign’s HD and XD product lines.

The HD range has been refined from the models down to two, with both of these solutions now capable of supporting HTML5 and 1080p60 content. Meanwhile, BrightSign has updated its entire XD range with a faster graphics and HTML5 engine.

The firm will also unveil its new BrightSign LS product line, which it says has been designed for customers that require the “affordability of a low-cost solution but also require a purpose-built device with greater reliability, flexibility and performance.”

BrightSign now offers the industry’s most competitive, complete line-up of digital signage media players

The news of the update comes shortly after BrightSign began shipping its flagship line of 4K players, which are targeted at the higher end of the industry.

Jeff Hastings, chief executive officer of BrightSign, enthuses: “BrightSign now offers the industry’s most competitive, complete line-up of digital signage media players. From BrightSign 4K players offering the best of the best in features and technology all the way down to a new low-cost commercial-grade signage player that’s a far superior alternative to the consumer devices that many people use for low cost applications.

“And at the core of our portfolio, we were able to upgrade our next-generation HD and XD players with the latest technology to support new functionality and features, including HTML5, while maintaining existing price points across the board.”
