Bright lights of Broadway for Clear Channel

Clear Channel Spectacolor, a brand division of outdoor media giant Clear Channel Outdoor, recently completed a special installation for cosmetics heavyweight Revlon at New York’s iconic Times Square

Situated at 1500 Broadway on the corner of West 43rd Street, the new two-sided LED video billboard kicked off Revlon’s brand re-launch campaign ‘Revlon LOVE Is ON’.

Dubbed the ‘Global Love Beacon’ and manufactured by Daktronics, the LED billboard measures 36ft high by 85ft wide and features high resolution 10mm line spacing.

It is able to play HD content, performs effectively in direct sunlight, and features custom LED louvers that Clear Channel says improves both colour integrity and viewing angles.

In addition, the billboard interacts with Times Square audiences via a jumbo ‘kiss cam’ that encourages tourists and pedestrians at the iconic landmark, as well as fans around the world, to share their ‘love moment’ images on the big screen.
