One company concerned by the overload of work in the run up to the holiday season is RMC Digital Print of Hull. The sign-making outfit decided to invest in a new wide-format printer to cope with the rush of work.
We’re very busy at the moment and being able to use the same ink across the three Mimaki machines makes jobs even easier especially with the benefit of matching colour output”
The company says its new Mimaki JV300 wide-format printer it bought from i-Sub Digital is helping its printroom to keep pace with what they describe as the ‘ridiculously busy’ pre-Christmas period.
“It’s much faster on things like banners and vinyl than our existing Mimaki JV33s but the quality is still excellent,” says Nicole Spencer of RMC Digital Print. She adds: “We’re very busy at the moment and being able to use the same ink across the three Mimaki machines makes jobs even easier especially with the benefit of matching colour output.”
Andy Spreag of i-Sub Digital also weighed in on the potential of the new equipment: “Investing in a new machine ahead of Christmas can really pay off, especially when it has the speed and reliability of the Mimaki JV300. During a busy time it’s all hands on deck and the new JV300 will mean RMC can keep up with increased demand for a range of applications, from vinyl, banners and canvases to the wallpapers for TV work.”
