SwissQprint ups the ante with improved Impala

Digital printing solutions provider swissQprint has confirmed that its Impala flatbed UV printer is now available with the latest generation of printheads that it claims helps boost the device’s printing speed

Using the new printheads, the 2.5 × 1.6 m machine can now reach speeds of up to 180sq m/hr, compared to its previous top speed of 130sq m/hr.

The printhead technology has been in use since May 2014 on the Nyala 2 .2 × 2 m UV large format printer, which has in turn become the most popular product in the swissQprint portfolio with 50 units sold to date.

In addition to the new printhead technology, the Impala also boasts existing features such as being able to handle print formats up to 2.5 × 4 m in flatbed mode and can be expanded using the roll to roll option.

It also has nine configurable colour channels, with standard CMYK supplemented by white, effect varnish, primer or other colours.
