Anchor Magnets celebrates anniversary in style

Magnetic print media specialist Anchor Magnets has marked its 30th anniversary in style after expanding its production and storage facilities to almost 30,000sq ft

Located next to its current manufacturing base at Bankside Works in Darnall, the expansion will bring an additional 7,000sq ft of space for extrusion manufacture and cutting equipment, as well as an extra 1,400sq ft of mezzanine space for stock storage.

Warren Turner, managing director at Anchor Magnets, says the expansion forms part of a wider investment plan to support the company’s ongoing growth.

In the first six months of 2014, the company posted record turnover of £3.1m, which represents an increase of around ten percent on the previous year,

This not only increases capacity but offers quicker stock and product access through improved warehousing

“Following the investment in new plant capacity and systems, the next stage of our investment plan is to underpin our growth with the expansion of our site,” Turner said.

“This not only increases capacity but offers quicker stock and product access through improved warehousing.

“Our inventory has grown by more than 50 percent over the past five years."
