Glory, glory Epson United

Print giant Epson recently teamed up with English Premier League football club Manchester United in an effort to raise money for the Unicef global children’s organisation

As part of the ‘United for Unicef’ initiative, which is run by the Manchester United Foundation, Epson printed a special series of pictures personally selected by former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson that marked the 15-year anniversary of the partnership between the club and Unicef.

The initiative first launched in 1999 and is now the longest-running partnership of its kind between a sporting organisation and a global children’s organisation, raising £3m and helping more than 3.4 million children in the process.

We are proud to have been asked to help promote such a great cause and we hope that the excellent print quality achievable with the Stylus Pro 9900 will add real value to what is a uniquely exclusive limited edition

The pictures, which featured in a special photography exhibition at United’s Old Trafford stadium, were printed on an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 large-format printer before a selection were signed by Fergie himself.

Mary McNulty of Epson Europe comments: “We are proud to have been asked to help promote such a great cause and we hope that the excellent print quality achievable with the Stylus Pro 9900 will add real value to what is a uniquely exclusive limited edition.”

The images are now being auctioned off to raise money to help support Unicef’s programme in Vietnam.
