Wavetec targets sign market with digital signage

Display and signage specialist Wavetec has set its sights on the retail market after suggesting its Donatello Digital Signage Solution could be deployed in such environments.

Traditionally used in financial institutions, Wavetec has highlighted a number of cross-over benefits that could also make the product suited for use in retail.

When used in a financial environment, the Android-based solution provides a supply of relevant information that Wavetec says can be adjusted in retail to display the latest products, services and special offers in order to provide customers with the opportunity to take the right decision at the right time.

In addition, the display and signage specialist says the product’s ability to engage individuals in the financial sector will also prove useful in retail.

Wavetec says the solution has the potential to draw the attention of shoppers, thus giving retailers a powerful in-store marketing tool.

In addition, the company also draws on the cross-selling features of digital signage and how these can be used in retail environments.

While digital signage can be used to offer products and services to customers according to their profiles, Wavetec suggests this same logic can potentially be applied to improve the retail experience and promote transactions in such environments.

The use of digital signage in the retail environment has rocketed in recent years, with a number of major high street and supermarket brands opting to install such technology in their UK stores.
